"The task which the Lord gives us is the vocation to charity in which each of Christ’s disciples puts his or her entire life at his service, so to grow each day in love!

WORSHIP: The Intimate Encounter with Christ

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass

The Mass is the primary place of intimate encounter with the Risen Jesus here at St. Ambrose. Why does the Church ask those who make up the Body of Christ to gather at least once a week to receive his living Presence in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass? Because “without me, you can do nothing” (Jn 15:5). This is the humble recognition of those who seek to love the Father by “keeping Holy the Sabbath” every Sunday.

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY is on Monday, August 15th.  This is not a Holy Day of Obligation.  However, it is still a Holy Day.  There will not be a vigil Mass on Sunday, but there will be Masses on Monday at 7:00 am, 9:00 am & 7:30 pm.

Small gestures of love, of tenderness, of care, make people feel that the Lord is with us.  This is how the door of mercy opens.

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ sanctify me; Body of Christ, save me; Blood of Christ, inebriate me; Water from the side of Christ, wash me; Passion of Christ, strengthen me; O Good Jesus, hear me; Within your wounds, hide me; Never permit me to be separated from you; From the wicked enemy, defend me; In the hour of my death, call me; And bid me to come to your side, that with your saints I may praise you, for ever and ever. Amen

-Blessed Bernadine of Feltran
